 Description:
This year at The Salvation Army we will be able to help out with outdoor yard work, such as raking and pulling weeds, and other Spring cleaning needs weather permitting. Other opportunities could include sorting clothes if there is poor weather. They are a great organization to work with and would really appreciate our help.

 Description:
We will serving our veterans at the Indiana Veterans Home by assisting the staff with a bingo game and interacting with the people themselves. This is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate appreciation for our veterans.There are no special skills or heaving lifting - just hanging out!

 Description:
Trinity Mission is a residential drug rehabilitation program that offers a second chance in life through the hope of Jesus Christ, classes in Christian principles and life skills, and work experience. The outlet store provides the residents of Trinity Mission with the work experience they need to get a steady job, as well as providing the community with secondhand goods at very affordable prices. We will be serving the residents of Trinity Mission and the community by sorting and tagging the donated clothing and organizing different sections of the store.

 Description:
We will be preparing and serving a meal for up to 50 people at the Lafayette Urban Ministry Emergency Homeless Shelter. Volunteers will have the opportunity to visit with guests during the meal. The Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM) is a non-profit ecumenical organization which provides assistance and relief to Lafayette's needy children and families. LUM is a partnership of 47 congregations from 21 faith traditions working together to bring compassion and justice to Lafayette's needy children and families. LUM serves the community through 23 assistance programs and is a model for urban ministry in other regions.

 Description:
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world. The Lafayette affiliate is one of many affiliates around te world working to achieve this goal. It is hard to know exactly what need we will be filling in the spring, but Lafayette Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers to help do various contruction, landscaping or other tasks. No experience or tools required.
